GENERAL NOTES FOR WORKSHOP
PARTICIPANTS
- All workshops require a $100.00 deposit to reserve space. The
remainder must be paid 30 days before the beginning of the workshop. In
some workshops there may be a small additional materials fee for special
materials
communally
used.
- Typically instruction runs from 9AM to 4PM each day with
an hour break for lunch.
- All workshops feature presentations, demonstrations and
individual instruction.
- All those attending a workshop are free to work on their
own in the evenings.
- On-campus housing availability is dependent upon conference
use.
- Fees for workshop specific materials that are likely to be used by
everyone are calculated for each workshop and are an aditional charge.
Typically, materials fees run between $40.00 and $100.00.
- Unless noted all workshops provide ink, plexiglass plates
and other basic printmaking needs. Paper is rarely included but is available on site
at very reasonable costs.
- Bring drawings and other source materials, brushes, also
asian papers and so forth for collage and chine colle workshops. While
not included
in the registration fees, each workshop's special needs are available through
the shop at low prices or a small additional materials fee. These items
include linoleum, woodblocks, copper plates, Imagon film, encaustic sticks
, plates
and other
workshop
specific
items.
Too, there are several nearby art stores that are very well stocked.
- We will be happy to help you with questions about other
accommodations.
CANCELATION & REFUND
POLICY
If for any reason MakingArtSafely cancels a workshop, you will
be notified no later than 1 month before the workshop is scheduled. In this
event your deposit will be returned to you in full, or you can transfer it to
another session.
If you must withdraw from a workshop, and you give us a minimum
of one month notice, we will refund the any amount above the $100.00 deposit
you have made. If you must withdraw with less tan 30 days notice, we retain
the entire amount. If the workshop is sold out and we can replace you in the
workshop, we will refund the balance amount.
MakingArtSafely does not assume responsibility for nonrefundable
travel and lodging expenses. Most workshops make enrollment each year however,
we recommend that you email or call to confirm the class before
making any non-adjustable travel
arrangements.
